MISSION
The main mission of the Marine Base is to assure the logistic actions
related to the preparation and use of the Marine Forces and Units and to the
operation of the Marine Corps Command.
COMPETENCES
AND RESPONSABILITIES
To support, in the technical and logistical scope, the CCF and the
Marine Units based in Alfeite;
Maintain and ensure the operation of messes, mess rooms, lodgings and
other facilities in your area;
Ensure the management of the means of transport allocated;
Ensure the security of facilities, with their own resources or that are
assigned to them;
Ensure the storage, custody, maintenance and control of war material,
ammunition and explosives assigned to units under the CCF based in Alfeite;
Promote the preparation of tactical vehicles, communications equipment
and other means of operational use;
Promote staff readiness and necessary services to campaign support.
LOCATION
The Marine Corps Base (BF) is a base of the Portuguese Navy,
constituting part of the Marine Corps. It is installed in the Military
Perimeter of Alfeite, in the municipality of Almada, near the Naval Base of
Lisbon, on the south bank of the Tagus River.
